Go-Lab Summer Mini Video Contest - the winner is chosen!

In August, we asked you to create and submit videos representing Go-Lab in an easy and creative way – the way you would like to explain it to your friends and family. This contest was the first step into a collaborative promotion activity with you as our partner.

The contest began on August 5th and voting was closed September 14th! Now we are very pleased to announce that Elena Vladescu is the winner of our “Go-Lab Summer Mini Video Contest 2014”. The voters chose her submission over all other submitted videos.

The assignment was to create a 90-120 seconds long video explaining the main idea of Go-Lab in an easy and inventive way. It was supposed to show what Go-Lab is about and how you can use the Portal and online labs best. We also asked to explain which advantages Go-Lab can add to your life. The participants had the possibility to involve relatives, friends and students in the video, use any of the labs and apps that Go-Lab offers and be as imaginative as they wanted to be!

Elena, the winner of the contest, is a physics teacher from the “Nicolae Titulescu” National Vocational College in Slatine, Romania. Using her video, she promotes Go-Lab project, the Repository as well as the recently announced Call for Schools to participate in the Go-Lab Pilot activities. She has now received an Amazon voucher in a value of 150 Euros and her video is promoted in our social media channels. Congratulations, Elena! Way to go!

Two other entries didn’t meet the contest’s requirements (see Terms and Conditions, “Submissions”) which unfortunately led to disqualification of both. We want to thank all the participants for their involvement and we hope to receive many outstanding entries in the next contest coming 2015!
