Go-Lab and weSPOT – a successful collaboration

  • Past Events

An active collaboration between Go-Lab and weSPOT was initiated by the projects’ representatives during the JTEL Summer School taking place from April 28th until May 2nd in Malta. The collaboration consists of organizing joint events and exchanging tools and best practices. Also, Go-Lab apps were integrated into the weSPOT platform and different widgets developed by the Go-Lab project for inquiry-based learning were made available, so that they can be used by the weSPOT users building their inquiry spaces.

weSPOT is a research project co-funded by the European Commission focusing on inquiry-based learning. The project creates a model for inquiry-based learning skills, develops a tool to measure inquiry skills, and builds a unique space to combine inquiry activities with school curricula and legacy systems. By incorporating science teaching in everyday school life that is more and more supported by technology, it aims at making it easier for teachers and students to teach and to learn, to develop inquiry skills, to support students’ conceptual knowledge and to link e-learning in schools with inquiry-based approaches.
